Smart SIM registration is required under RA 11934 for Smart Prepaid, Postpaid, TNT, Sun, Smart Bro, and PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi SIMs on the Smart network. In July 2026, use simreg.smart.com.ph, the Smart App (GigaLife ecosystem), or a Smart store. Dial *888 for Smart support. Unofficial guide only.

    Smart SIM must receive the text. Do not share the code.

    Follow Smart’s liveness prompts. Retake if rejected.

  4. Confirm status

    Check Smart App or text REG STATUS to 214 if your plan supports it.

Smart Communications and its sub-brands share one registration platform.

  • TNT and legacy Sun Cellular active SIMs.
  • Smart Bro pocket WiFi and broadband SIMs.

Smart registration requirements

  • Smart SIM active in phone for OTP.
  • Valid photo ID — valid IDs.
  • Email (optional on some flows).
  • Camera for ID and live selfie.

Match your ID name exactly. Smart rejects mismatched middle initials frequently.

Register at simreg.smart.com.ph

  1. Open https://simreg.smart.com.ph (check HTTPS and spelling).
  2. Enter Smart mobile number.
  3. Input OTP from SMS.
  4. Choose ID type; upload clear photos.
  5. Complete selfie / liveness check.
  6. Enter address and personal data from ID.
  7. Submit and note confirmation.

PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi uses simreg.smart.com.ph/pldt — not the default mobile landing in some cases.

Register via Smart App

  1. Install the official Smart App (GigaLife-related listing on your store).
  2. Log in with Smart number; verify OTP.
  3. Navigate to SIM Registration.
  4. Follow ID and selfie steps mirroring the portal.
  5. Submit and verify status in-app.

App wordings change after updates — search settings for “SIM Registration” if the home tile moved.

Register at a Smart store

Bring SIM, phone, and original ID to Smart Business Centers or partner stores. Staff register on your behalf when digital flow fails.

Top Smart registration errors

  • OTP timeout — resend once; check dual-SIM slot.
  • ID expired or cropped — renew ID or retake photo.
  • Portal overload — try off-peak hours or the app.
  • Already registered under old owner — store visit for reset.
