How to Check SIM Registration Status by Carrier
Current status methods for Globe, TM, Smart, TNT, Smart Bro, DITO, GOMO and Home WiFi without unverified SMS shortcuts.
Use the carrier’s own confirmation and any status method it currently documents. Globe supports its confirmation, GlobeOne status and re-entry through its official registration page. Smart supports its confirmation and an already-registered prompt in the official portal. For DITO and GOMO, keep the original confirmation and ask official in-app support to verify the record when the result is unclear; their current public pages do not document a stable self-service status checker. No universal registration-status SMS code works across Philippine networks.
Official status method by carrier
| Carrier | How to check | What to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Globe / TM | Look for the successful-registration confirmation; check the number/account in GlobeOne; if no confirmation arrived, enter the number again through Globe’s official registration page and follow the state shown. | Reference number and confirmation. |
| Smart / TNT | Look for Smart’s approval SMS. Smart’s official status help says a registered Smart Prepaid, Smart Bro Prepaid or Home WiFi number produces an already-registered prompt when entered through Smart’s portal. | Control Number and result SMS. |
| DITO | Use DITO’s confirmation screen/message as proof. If it is missing or conflicts with service, ask DITO’s official app chat to confirm the registration record or call 185 from DITO. | Confirmation screenshot/message and support reference. |
| GOMO | Use the registration confirmation you received. If it is missing or conflicts with service, ask official in-app support to confirm the record; GOMO’s public site does not document a stable self-service status label. | Confirmation and support reference. |

A safe status-check sequence
Find the original confirmation
Search the SIM/device inbox and carrier app for the result received after submission. A screenshot or reference is stronger than memory.
Use the carrier’s current official route
Navigate from the carrier website or verified app. Do not type personal data into an independent status checker.
Read the exact state
Distinguish successful/registered, still under review, returned/correction required, unfinished and already registered.
Check activation separately
A registered SIM can still have no service because of ordinary expiry, load, device compatibility, network settings, coverage or an account issue.
Escalate with the reference
Give the carrier its reference or Control Number, not your OTP. Ask it to confirm registration and activation as separate questions.
What common status messages mean
| Message or condition | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Successful / Registered / Approved | The carrier accepted the registration. | Save the proof, then troubleshoot service separately if needed. |
| Already registered | The carrier has a registration record for the number. | If it is your record, retain the result. If you do not recognize it, contact the carrier immediately. |
| Locked for Review | Smart is reviewing the submission. | Wait for Smart’s SMS result and do not create a duplicate. |
| Returned | Smart needs a correction or additional document. | Read the reason in Smart’s message and provide only what it requests. |
| Unfinished prompt | The app or carrier still sees an incomplete registration task. | Resume through the same official account or ask support if a completed submission is missing. |
| No confirmation | The message may be delayed, stored in a device inbox or the submission may not have completed. | Use the carrier-specific check above; do not assume failure or resubmit blindly. |
Globe and TM status
Globe tells users to keep the reference number. Its current FAQ points to the successful confirmation, a registered status in GlobeOne, and re-entering the number through the official registration page if no confirmation arrived. If the page says the number is already registered but you do not recognize the record, use official Globe support or a Globe Store.
SIMREG message to 8080 is a prompted Postpaid/Platinum confirmation route, not a prepaid status checker.Smart, TNT, Smart Bro and Home WiFi status
Smart’s official status article says to enter the number through the SIM Registration Portal and wait for the already-registered prompt. Keep the Control Number. Smart’s individual terms describe Approved, Locked for Review and Returned outcomes.
The same status article still names the former GigaLife app. Smart’s consumer app is now branded Smart App, and its current public product page does not document the old registration badge. Use the portal unless you can see a current status control in the live Smart App.
DITO and GOMO status
DITO’s current registration guide says to save or screenshot the confirmation as proof. If that proof is missing or activation conflicts with it, ask DITO’s official app chat or hotline to confirm the registration record. For GOMO, keep the original confirmation and use official in-app support when the record is unclear. The current public sources reviewed do not document a durable DITO or GOMO self-service status control.
Status for Home WiFi and pocket WiFi
- Globe At Home: the confirmation or OTP may be in the modem SMS inbox; the number can also be managed in GlobeOne.
- Smart Home WiFi: use the Smart portal’s already-registered check. Retrieve OTP messages through the device dashboard when required.
- DITO Home WoWFi: retrieve the original confirmation where available and use DITO’s official app support to verify an unclear record while connected to the product.
- GOMO or ordinary SIM in a modem: check the device inbox for the original confirmation and use official in-app support when needed; do not infer status from the WiFi light alone.
See Globe At Home, Smart Bro, Smart Home WiFi, DITO Home WiFi and modem message retrieval.
Registered but no service
A successful registration certifies the identity record; it does not override every other service rule. Check:
- Whether the carrier says the registration is accepted.
- Whether the SIM is newly issued and activation has completed.
- Whether a prepaid SIM has ordinarily expired or lacks required load/activity.
- Whether the phone supports the carrier’s network and VoLTE requirements.
- Whether the SIM is barred after a loss/theft report, replacement or account action.
- Whether the issue affects only data, calls, texts or every service.
Use the complete registered-but-no-service diagnosis, or continue with SIM registration troubleshooting and deactivated versus expired SIMs.
Frequently asked questions
Is there one SMS code for every network?
No. The current official sources do not support a universal registration-status SMS code.
How do I check Globe or TM status?
Use Globe’s confirmation, GlobeOne account status or re-enter the number through Globe’s official registration page.
How do I check Smart or TNT status?
Use Smart’s confirmation or enter the number through smart.com.ph/simreg and follow the already-registered prompt.
How do I check DITO or GOMO status?
Use the carrier’s original confirmation. For DITO, call 185 from a DITO line or use official app chat; for GOMO, ask official in-app support when the result is missing or conflicts with service.
What does already registered mean?
The carrier has a registration record for the number. Contact it immediately if you do not recognize that record.
Does mobile service prove registration?
Not by itself. Use the carrier’s registration result; ordinary activation, validity, device and network conditions are separate.
Can an independent website check my number?
Do not provide your number or personal data to one. Use the carrier’s own status route.
