Smart Bro SIM Registration: Pocket WiFi, Rocket SIM and Home WiFi
Register a Smart Bro Prepaid or Rocket SIM through Smart’s official portal, with separate guidance for a phone, Pocket WiFi and Smart-branded Home WiFi.
Smart’s current Pocket WiFi setup guide tells new users to place the Smart Bro SIM in a phone first, open Smart’s official SIM-registration portal, complete registration and wait for confirmation, then move the registered SIM into the Pocket WiFi. For a Smart-branded Home WiFi, follow that model’s official device-inbox instructions because its OTP may be received inside the modem rather than on a phone.
Choose the correct Smart Bro device path
| SIM or device | Official starting path | Where to read the OTP |
|---|---|---|
| Smart Bro Prepaid or Rocket SIM in a phone | Register directly through Smart’s portal while the SIM is in the phone. | The phone’s SMS inbox. |
| New Smart Bro Pocket WiFi kit | Smart’s setup guide says to place the SIM in a phone, register it, wait for confirmation and then install it in the Pocket WiFi. | The phone’s SMS inbox during registration. |
| Smart-branded Home WiFi | Use Smart’s current Home WiFi registration instructions for that model while connected to the device. | The device dashboard/SMS inbox identified by Smart or the model manual. |
| PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi | Use the dedicated PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi guide. | The PLDT-branded device inbox. |
| Smart or TNT phone SIM | Use the Smart or TNT mobile guide. | The phone’s SMS inbox. |
What to prepare
- The Smart Bro, Rocket SIM or Smart Home WiFi mobile number.
- Access to the correct SMS inbox—on the phone or inside the modem, depending on the path above.
- Full name, date of birth, sex, complete address and the other details required by Smart’s live form.
- One valid photo ID offered by the current Smart portal.
- A clear ID image and a camera for Smart’s selfie/liveness step.
- A way to retain the control number and confirmation.
Smart’s registration materials list the photo-ID examples in RA 11934. Because automated support can change, choose an ID from the portal’s live menu rather than relying on an old screenshot. See the accepted-ID guide.
Register Smart Bro or Rocket SIM in a phone
Insert the Smart Bro SIM in a compatible phone
Smart’s current Pocket WiFi setup guide uses this phone-first route so the registration OTP can be read directly.
Open Smart’s official portal
Go to simreg.smart.com.ph and confirm the displayed domain before entering the number.
Enter the Smart Bro mobile number
Follow the live number format and review every digit before requesting verification.
Request and enter the OTP
Read the one-time PIN from the phone’s SMS inbox and enter it only on Smart’s official screen.
Complete the registration form
Enter the required personal and address information accurately and choose the correct registrant type.
Upload an accepted ID and take a selfie
Keep the document complete and readable, then follow Smart’s current selfie or liveness prompt.
Correct recognition errors
Compare any prefilled information with the ID and edit mistakes before attesting to accuracy.
Submit and save the control number
Keep the control number and wait for Smart’s confirmation before moving the SIM to its Pocket WiFi.
Install the registered SIM in the Pocket WiFi
Switch off the device, insert the SIM according to its manual, then power it on and complete only the model-specific account setup Smart documents.
Register a Smart-branded Home WiFi SIM
Smart’s official Home WiFi page has a dedicated “Register your Prepaid WiFi Device SIM” flow. Use that page for the exact model currently sold:
- Power on the Home WiFi and connect the registration phone to its WiFi.
- Find the device’s assigned mobile number from the label, packaging or account record.
- Open Smart’s official registration portal and enter that number.
- Retrieve the OTP from the device’s message/dashboard inbox using the address and credentials documented for the exact model.
- Return to Smart’s portal, enter the OTP and complete the personal details, ID, selfie, review and submission steps.
- Save the control number and confirmation.
Do not assume the Pocket WiFi credentials, PLDT Home credentials or a dashboard address found on another blog will work for the Home WiFi model.
How to check Smart Bro registration status
- Retain Smart’s control number and successful-registration confirmation.
- Check the Smart Bro account in the Smart app for a Registered or Unregistered badge.
- Alternatively, enter the number on Smart’s official portal and follow the status prompt after verification.
- If the status conflicts with service, contact Smart and identify whether the product is Pocket WiFi, Rocket SIM or Home WiFi.
See the registration-status guide.
Smart Bro registration troubleshooting
| Problem | Safe next step |
|---|---|
| Phone does not recognize the SIM | Switch off the phone, reinsert the SIM as shown by the tray, then use a compatible device or Smart support. Do not force or trim the SIM. |
| OTP did not arrive in the phone-first flow | Check the number, signal and SMS inbox, wait for Smart’s resend control and avoid repeated requests. |
| Home WiFi OTP is missing | Confirm the phone is connected to the intended device and open the model’s documented SMS/dashboard inbox. |
| Dashboard credentials fail | Use the label/manual or the password previously set for that exact device. Do not copy credentials from a different Smart or PLDT model. |
| ID or selfie was rejected | Use the live ID menu, match the form exactly, remove glare and follow Smart’s on-screen selfie/liveness prompts. |
| No confirmation | Keep the control number and inspect the official Smart app or portal status before moving or repeatedly resubmitting the SIM. |
| Registered but Pocket WiFi has no data | Confirm registration, then separate load/promo validity, device compatibility, signal and network issues through Smart support. |
| Number already registered | Do not use another website. Ask Smart to investigate if the registration is not recognized. |
| Portal or app will not load | Verify the Smart-owned domain/app, reopen or update it, try a stable connection and use official support if the problem persists. |

After registration and setup
- Keep the control number and device credentials private.
- Enroll the Smart Bro account in the official Smart app to manage load, usage and supported offers.
- Add a secondary contact number when Smart’s official Pocket WiFi setup asks for one.
- Registration does not prevent prepaid expiry. Smart’s current Pocket WiFi setup guide warns that a Smart Bro Prepaid SIM can be permanently disconnected after 120 days with no load or promo subscription.
- Report a lost device/SIM or changed registration details through Smart’s authorized process.
- Do not sell a registered Smart Bro SIM as an anonymous ready-to-use line.
