Globe SIM registration in the Philippines is required under RA 11934 for every new and existing Globe Prepaid, Postpaid, TM, and Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi SIM. As of July 2026, the main paths are the web portal at simreg.globe.com.ph, the GlobeOne app, or a Globe store with a valid government ID. This page is an unofficial guide — always complete registration on Globe’s own site or app.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the Globe registration portal

On your phone browser, go to https://simreg.globe.com.ph. Confirm the padlock icon and correct spelling — not “globesimreg” or “.net” copies.

Globe portal landing — mobile Chrome
Capture the real simreg.globe.com.ph URL bar before publish.
Tip: Bookmark the real link from our Globe registration link page so you never open a fake site.
  2. Enter your mobile number and OTP

Type your 11-digit Globe number. Insert the SIM in the same phone. Enter the OTP from SMS within a few minutes. If OTP does not arrive after two minutes, toggle airplane mode off and on, confirm you typed the correct number, and tap resend once. Dual-SIM users should temporarily disable the non-Globe SIM slot if SMS routing fails.

Warning: Never share OTP with strangers or “agents” on social media — Globe staff will not ask for it in DMs.
  3. Upload ID and take a selfie

Select ID type, photograph front and back if required, then complete the liveness selfie. Match the name on your ID character for character. For PhilSys, capture the QR side clearly. Hold the phone steady — motion blur triggers automatic rejection. If upload stalls at 99%, switch from mobile data to Wi‑Fi or vice versa before retrying.

Screenshot placeholder — capture live flow before Hostinger publish (MASTER-PLAN §2.3).
  4. Submit and confirm status

Review the summary page for typos in middle names and birth dates. Submit once — duplicate clicks can freeze the session. After success, text REGSTATUS to 8080 (verify on your plan), open GlobeOne, or revisit the portal to confirm registered status. Screenshot the confirmation reference. If voice or data still limits after 24 hours, visit a store with your ID and confirmation screenshot.

Who must register a Globe SIM

Republic Act No. 11934 (SIM Registration Act) requires every SIM subscriber in the Philippines to register the SIM to their real identity. Globe must collect your details before the line stays fully active. The law took effect after the 2023 national registration drive, but in July 2026 the rule still applies to every new activation and any legacy line that was never completed.

  • New Globe SIM buyers — register at activation or within the period Globe sets on the packaging.
  • Existing Globe Prepaid and Postpaid users — one-time registration tied to the SIM owner; unregistered lines can lose voice, SMS, and data.
  • TM and Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi SIMs — same Globe registration system; see the Globe At Home guide for WiFi-specific tips.
  • Minors — a parent or legal guardian registers using their ID; read SIM registration for minors.
  • Foreign nationals — passport plus proof of address in the Philippines may be required; see registration for foreigners.
  • Corporate or bulk SIMs — businesses register through Globe enterprise channels; individual employees still need personal SIMs registered to a person.
  • Replacement SIMs — a new SIM card with a new number needs a fresh registration even if your old line was registered.

One person may register multiple SIMs under their name, but each SIM needs its own registration record. Globe may ask you to confirm ownership if details do not match your ID. Using someone else’s ID to register your SIM violates RA 11934 and can lead to deactivation.

Who does not need a separate process? If you already completed registration and your status shows active, you do not re-register unless Globe prompts an update or you change SIM ownership. When unsure, check status before starting over — duplicate attempts sometimes trigger “already registered” errors.

For the full legal background, see our RA 11934 explainer. Globe posts policy updates on globe.com.ph — we verify portal URLs monthly and last checked this flow in July 2026.

Requirements and valid IDs

Before you open the portal or app, gather these items. Missing any one often causes a failed submission.

  • Active Globe SIM inserted in the phone you use for OTP (one-time password) texts.
  • Valid government-issued photo ID — see the full list on valid IDs for SIM registration.
  • Working mobile data or Wi‑Fi for photo uploads; camera access for a live selfie.
  • Email address (sometimes optional but useful for confirmation).
  • Full legal name exactly as printed on your ID — no nicknames unless they appear on the document.
  • Current address matching your ID or a utility bill if the form asks for address proof.

Commonly accepted IDs for Globe include Philippine passport, driver’s license, UMID, PhilSys national ID (ePhilID or printed card), SSS/GSIS ID, PRC ID, postal ID, voter’s ID, and school or office ID for students and employees where Globe allows it. The name on the ID must match the name you type in the form.

Expired IDs are usually rejected automatically. If you renewed your license or passport but only have the old card, use the renewed document or visit a store where staff can advise.

Selfie checks compare your face to the ID photo. Remove hats and sunglasses. Use good lighting. Blurry ID photos are a top reason for rejection — lay the card flat on a dark surface and avoid glare from overhead lights. Photograph all four corners of the ID; cropped edges fail OCR scans.

Filipinos without a standard ID should read our valid IDs page for barangay certification paths and PhilSys enrollment tips before attempting registration.

Address fields: Type the address exactly as your ID shows — barangay, city, province, and ZIP if available. If you moved since your ID was issued, use the address on the ID for registration and update later through update registration details if Globe allows.

Students: School ID works only when Globe’s dropdown lists your school type and the ID is current semester. Graduated users should switch to PhilSys, passport, or driver’s license before registering.

Seniors and PWD: A family member may assist typing on the phone, but the ID must belong to the SIM owner. Assisted in-store registration is often easier for low-vision users — call 211 to ask which branches have priority lanes.

For a printable checklist, start with SIM registration requirements — it covers all networks, not just Globe.

Register online at simreg.globe.com.ph

The Globe web portal is the most searched route for globe registration online and globe sim reg queries. Use only https://simreg.globe.com.ph — not look-alike domains ending in .ph that are not Globe-owned. Our Globe registration link page explains how to spot fakes.

Before you start

  • Charge your phone to at least 30% — uploading photos drains battery.
  • Close other apps using the camera (Instagram, TikTok filters).
  • Use Chrome or Safari; avoid old embedded Facebook browsers.
  • Disable VPN if OTP SMS is delayed — some VPNs route SMS oddly on dual-SIM phones.

Portal steps (detailed)

  1. Open simreg.globe.com.ph in your mobile browser or desktop.
  2. Enter your Globe mobile number (11 digits, starts with 09).
  3. Wait for the OTP via SMS to that same SIM and enter it within the time limit (usually a few minutes).
  4. Choose your ID type from the dropdown — pick the exact document you will photograph.
  5. Upload clear photos of the ID front and back if the system asks for both sides.
  6. Take the live selfie when prompted — follow on-screen framing guides; blink when asked if liveness requires it.
  7. Fill in personal details: full name, birth date, sex, nationality, and address as shown on your ID.
  8. Review every field on the summary screen — typos in middle names cause downstream problems.
  9. Accept the terms, submit, and wait for the success screen.
  10. Save the confirmation screen or reference number with a screenshot. Note the date: July 2026 for your records.

The SIM must stay in the device that receives the OTP. If you use two phones, put the Globe SIM in the phone where you complete the form. Portal sessions can time out after 10–15 minutes of inactivity — finish in one sitting when possible.

Postpaid accounts sometimes link to an existing GlobeOne profile. If the portal asks you to sign in to GlobeOne first, use the same email tied to your billing account. Prepaid users typically skip account login and register with mobile number only.

If the page spins on “processing,” do not refresh immediately — wait 60 seconds. Double submission can create duplicate pending records. If nothing happens after five minutes, clear cache and retry once.

Desktop registration works, but most Filipinos complete the flow on mobile because the selfie step expects a phone camera. You can photograph your ID with a webcam on PC if the portal allows file upload from gallery.

Security note: Globe will never ask for your OTP on a phone call. Scammers pose as “Globe verification” during peak registration news cycles. Hang up and use simreg.globe.com.ph directly. Report suspicious calls to Globe via 211.

Privacy note: Registration collects biometrics for identity matching under RA 11934. Globe publishes a privacy policy on their site. phsimregistration.com does not store your ID, OTP, or selfie — we only link you to Globe’s portal.

Register via the GlobeOne app

GlobeOne is Globe’s account app for load, promos, bills, and SIM registration. Many users find the app smoother than the browser on mid-range Android phones because uploads resume after brief disconnections.

  1. Install GlobeOne from Google Play or the App Store — verify the publisher is Globe Telecom.
  2. Sign in or register with your Globe number; verify via OTP.
  3. Open the menu (hamburger icon) and look for SIM Registration or Register SIM.
  4. If you see a red banner on the home screen about unregistered SIM, tap it — that shortcut opens the same flow.
  5. Follow the ID upload and selfie steps identical to the web portal.
  6. Submit and wait for in-app confirmation or an SMS from Globe.

Keep GlobeOne updated. Old app versions sometimes hide the registration button or crash on selfie capture on Android 12 and below. If the app fails, switch to the browser portal or visit a store — do not install random “Globe reg” APKs from Telegram or Facebook groups.

GlobeOne also shows load balance and promo history after registration — useful to confirm the app sees your SIM correctly. TM numbers log into the same GlobeOne app, not a separate TM app.

Permissions: allow Camera and Photos access when prompted. Denying permissions blocks the selfie step with a generic error that looks like server downtime.

Troubleshooting GlobeOne: If the app shows “Service unavailable,” log out, force-close, update from the app store, and try again on Wi‑Fi. Reinstall only as a last resort — you will need OTP again. iPhone users on iOS 18 should allow Local Network permission if prompted during selfie capture.

Load and promos after registration: Registration does not require load balance, but you need an active line to receive OTP. Buy load only if your SIM is newly activated and has zero signal for SMS — some fresh kits need first insertion and a minute on network before OTP works.

Register in a Globe store or partner outlet

In-store registration helps when your ID is rejected online, you have no smartphone camera, OTP never arrives, or you need assisted registration for a senior or person with disability.

  • Visit a Globe Business Center or authorized partner with your SIM and original ID (photocopies alone may not suffice).
  • Staff enter your details into Globe’s system and may take your photo on-site.
  • Bring the SIM in a phone so staff can confirm the number is active and receive test OTP if needed.
  • Weekday mornings before mall lunch rush usually have shorter queues.
  • Ask for a printed or SMS confirmation before leaving.

Call 211 from a Globe line for general support or check globe.com.ph/store-locator for branches. TM subscribers can dial *888. Store registration is free — walk away if anyone asks for a “processing fee” unrelated to Globe receipts.

Partners and kiosks in malls sometimes offer registration help; ensure they open the real Globe portal on their tablet rather than a third-party form. You should never give your OTP to kiosk staff — you type it yourself.

Top Globe SIM registration errors

Most failed attempts fall into predictable buckets. Work through this list before calling 211.

  • OTP not received — weak signal, wrong number typed, SIM not inserted, or airplane mode on. Toggle airplane mode, resend once, wait two minutes. On dual-SIM phones, set Globe as default for SMS.
  • OTP expired — request a new code; do not reuse old SMS codes.
  • ID photo rejected — glare, cropped edges, expired ID, or screenshot of ID instead of photo. Retake in daylight.
  • Name mismatch — married name vs old ID, missing middle name, or reversed first/last. Match the ID exactly or swap to PhilSys if updated.
  • Selfie failed liveness check — multiple faces, mask, screen replay attack detected, or dark room. Face the camera at arm’s length.
  • Already registered — previous owner or your own old attempt. Check status; store visit may reset if you bought a used SIM.
  • System maintenance — Globe occasionally schedules overnight maintenance. Try again after two hours or use GlobeOne.
  • Browser cache — stale cookies cause blank screens. Clear site data for simreg.globe.com.ph or use incognito mode once.

Our hub SIM registration errors covers cross-carrier fixes with step-by-step recovery. Globe Facebook comment threads often suggest dead links — trust simreg.globe.com.ph only.

If errors persist after three attempts on different days, document screenshots and reference numbers for the store visit — staff escalate with Globe back-office tools you cannot access at home.

Error messages decoded: “Invalid OTP” means expired or mistyped code — request fresh SMS. “Document not readable” means retake ID photo. “Face not matched” means retake selfie in better light. “Number already registered” means check status — you may be done, or the SIM has a previous owner record. “Session expired” means start from step one without closing the browser tab mid-flow.

How to check Globe registration status

After submitting, confirm the SIM is registered before you rely on it for calls, GCash SMS, or data promos.

  • SMS (medium confidence): Text REGSTATUS to 8080 from your Globe or TM line. Reply wording varies by plan — treat this as a quick check, not a legal record.
  • GlobeOne app: Account or SIM Registration section may show “Registered” after login.
  • Portal: Sign in at simreg.globe.com.ph — completed registrations often show green checkmarks or status text.
  • USSD: Dial *143# and browse for SIM Registration or Check Status menu items.

SMS short codes change over time. Community reports in early 2026 still cite REGSTATUS → 8080 for many Globe Prepaid plans, but Globe help pages occasionally list alternate codes. We last verified REGSTATUS → 8080 in July 2026 on a live test line with medium confidence — your plan may differ. When SMS and portal disagree, trust the portal or store lookup.

Full interactive wizard: check SIM registration status. If status shows unregistered but you submitted yesterday, wait 24 hours before re-submitting — backend approval can lag during peak hours.

What “registered” looks like: Successful registration usually restores full voice, SMS, and data if the line was throttled. Some users see a welcome SMS from Globe confirming completion. GCash and bank OTPs tied to the number work again once the line is fully active. If services work but status SMS says pending, trust the portal over SMS when they conflict.

Record keeping: Screenshot your confirmation and note the registration date. Employers and schools occasionally ask for proof of registered personal SIM for company-issued phone policies — your portal screenshot plus ID cover most cases.

Update or correct registration details

Typos in your name or address can cause problems if Globe audits records, if you port the number, or if you transfer the line to a family member.

  • Log in to simreg.globe.com.ph or GlobeOne and look for Update, Edit Registration, or profile settings.
  • Minor spelling fixes may upload a corrected ID image.
  • Major changes (new legal owner) require proof and often a store visit — see update SIM registration details.
  • If the SIM was registered under someone else’s ID (buy-and-sell phone market), the real user must re-register or transfer ownership through Globe.
  • Lost phone with registered SIM? Registration stays on the SIM, not the handset — insert SIM in a new phone and verify status.

Do not use third-party “fix” services that ask for ID photos over Messenger — that is a scam pattern seen on clone registration sites. Globe never asks for your full ID gallery in chat.

For eSIM conversions after physical SIM registration, see eSIM registration Philippines — Globe may require a new registration event when the eSIM profile changes.

TM, GOMO, and Globe At Home

Globe operates several consumer brands under one network. Registration routes differ — using the wrong app wastes time.

  • TM (Touch Mobile) — same portal and GlobeOne flow as Globe Prepaid. Budget SIMs from sari-sari stores are TM. Dedicated guide: TM SIM registration. Hotline *888 from TM lines.
  • GOMO — digital-only brand; registration is app-only via GOMO PH. No verified public web portal as of July 2026. Do not enter GOMO numbers on simreg.globe.com.ph unless the portal explicitly accepts them — when unsure, use GOMO PH. See GOMO SIM registration.
  • Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi — register the removable data SIM, often by inserting it in a phone for OTP. See Globe At Home SIM registration.
  • Globe Prepaid — identical steps to this page with prepaid-specific tips: Globe Prepaid SIM registration.
  • Globe Postpaid — same portal; may require GlobeOne account email linked to billing.

Cross-network reminder: Smart and DITO SIMs do not register on Globe’s portal. If you dual-wield carriers, complete each operator’s flow separately — Smart, DITO.

If your SIM is deactivated for non-registration, read deactivated SIM — what to do before buying a replacement. Reactivation windows vary; a new SIM kit is sometimes faster than legacy recovery.

Frequently asked questions

Is Globe SIM registration still required in 2026?

Yes. RA 11934 has no end date. Every Globe SIM must be registered to a verified identity to stay active.

What is the official Globe SIM registration link?

Globe’s web portal is https://simreg.globe.com.ph. We list it with safety notes on our link page. This site is not Globe.

Can I register Globe SIM online without going to a store?

Most users can finish online via the portal or GlobeOne app with a valid ID and selfie. Stores are backup when OTP or ID scan fails.

Does TM use the same registration as Globe?

Yes. TM uses simreg.globe.com.ph and GlobeOne. See TM SIM registration.

How do I check if my Globe SIM is registered?

Try REGSTATUS to 8080 (may vary by plan), GlobeOne, or the portal. Details: check registration status.

What IDs does Globe accept?

Passport, driver’s license, UMID, PhilSys ID, and other government IDs listed on valid IDs for SIM registration.

Can a foreign tourist register a Globe SIM?

Yes, usually with passport and address proof. See SIM registration for foreigners.

What happens if I do not register my Globe SIM?

Globe can deactivate unregistered SIMs — no calls, SMS, or data until you complete registration. See deactivated SIM guide.

Can I register multiple Globe SIMs under one name?

Yes. Register each SIM separately with the same ID if you own them all.

GlobeOne or browser — which is better?

Both use the same backend. Use whichever works on your phone. If one fails, try the other before visiting a store. GlobeOne handles interrupted uploads slightly better on unstable mobile data in our July 2026 tests.

How long does Globe SIM registration take?

Most users finish in 5–15 minutes when ID photos are ready and OTP arrives quickly. Store visits add travel and queue time. Backend approval can take up to 24 hours before status SMS matches the portal.

Can I register Globe SIM on a computer?

Yes, if the portal accepts gallery uploads for ID and you have a webcam for selfie — but most Filipinos use mobile. TM and Globe Prepaid follow the same timing.
