DITO registration in 30 seconds

Insert a new physical DITO SIM or install the DITO eSIM, connect the device, and open the registration instruction sent by DITO or the SIM Registration action in the official DITO App. Verify the number when prompted, enter accurate subscriber details, upload an accepted ID and selfie, submit, and save DITO’s confirmation. Full service activates after successful registration.

Official domains: dito.ph and register.dito.ph. DITO also provides registration inside the official DITO App.

Independent safety notice: this guide never asks for or receives your DITO number, OTP, ID image, selfie, passport or registration details. DITO warns users not to open registration links from unknown or unverified senders.

Who needs to register?

  • New DITO Prepaid users: registration is required before the SIM is fully activated for service.
  • DITO Mobile Postpaid users: new lines complete the current DITO app/application process; existing users follow DITO’s request to confirm information already submitted.
  • New DITO eSIM users: install the DITO profile, then register the eSIM through the DITO App before normal use.
  • DITO Home WoWFi users: connect to the modem and use the DITO App registration action documented for the product.
  • DITO ONE users: DITO’s current help center says only the Primary SIM in the DITO ONE Starter Kit needs separate registration and activation.
  • Foreign nationals, businesses and corporate entities: registration applies, with extra identity, travel or organization documents.

DITO says several SIMs may be registered under one name. Each ordinary mobile SIM still needs an accurate record; do not treat the DITO ONE Primary-SIM rule as a general exemption for unrelated SIMs.

What to prepare

  • The physical DITO SIM, DITO eSIM or DITO Home number being registered.
  • Access to the SMS link, verification code or device message inbox DITO uses for that product.
  • Internet access. DITO’s mobile guide uses the new SIM and mobile data; its April 2026 guide also says WiFi can provide the portal connection.
  • Your full name, date of birth, gender and present or official address.
  • One valid government-issued ID accepted in DITO’s current registration flow.
  • A camera for the ID image and selfie or identity-verification step shown by DITO.
  • A way to save or screenshot DITO’s final confirmation.

IDs currently listed by DITO

DITO’s current SIM registration page lists passport, PhilSys or National ID, SSS ID, GSIS e-Card, driver’s license, NBI clearance, police clearance, Firearms License to Own and Possess ID, PRC ID, Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID, OWWA ID, BIR ID, voter’s ID, senior citizen card, UMID and PWD card. It also lists another valid government-issued photo ID, including a government employee ID that serves as proof of profession.

DITO separately lists student IDs issued by a Philippine state university or college for students aged 18 or older. Its additional published list includes PhilHealth, PhilPost, PNP, AFP, municipality, PNP-issued security guard, fisher worker, eligible LGU/TUPAD, Philippine Retirement Authority, barangay tanod, health worker, Department of Agriculture, LTO conductor, MARINA professional, Philippine Navy and CAFGU IDs.

The live DITO form controls: choose only a document type displayed by DITO and use a clear, current image. DITO can change which formats its validator accepts. Compare document requirements in our valid-ID guide.

How to register a new DITO mobile SIM

  1. Insert the SIM and connect the phone

Insert the new DITO SIM, turn on the device and enable the connection needed to receive DITO’s instruction. The SIM may connect enough for registration before full service is activated.

  2. Open a verified DITO registration route

Use the registration link sent by DITO, open dito.ph/sim-registration, or use the SIM Registration action in the official DITO App. Check for a DITO-owned domain before entering personal data.

  3. Verify the DITO number

Enter the mobile number and one-time code if the current screen requests them. Retrieve the code only from the SIM or device being registered, and never give it to a seller or third-party assistant.

  4. Complete the subscriber form

Enter the full name, date of birth, gender and present or official address accurately. Select the correct registrant category.

  5. Upload an accepted ID and complete the selfie step

Choose an ID shown in DITO’s live menu. Keep the document readable and free from glare or shadow, then follow the app or portal’s current selfie and identity-verification prompts.

  6. Review every extracted and typed field

Correct any spelling, date, address or document mismatch before submitting. The information should match the ID.

  7. Submit and save the confirmation

Retain the confirmation message or screenshot. DITO’s current guide describes it as proof that registration succeeded.

  8. Confirm activation and service

After successful registration, check that DITO activates the SIM. A service problem after confirmation can be a device, VoLTE, coverage or account issue rather than a registration failure.

No invented timing: DITO does not publish one universal OTP lifespan or guaranteed approval time for every product. Follow the timer and result shown in the live DITO flow.

DITO Mobile PrepaidInsert the SIM, enable the connection, open DITO’s verified SMS/app/portal route, complete identity verification and save the confirmation.Full activation follows successful registration.
Existing Mobile PostpaidDITO says existing users will be notified and must confirm the information they previously submitted.Follow DITO’s own request rather than a third-party SMS command.
New Mobile PostpaidComplete the DITO application. DITO’s current Postpaid page instructs approved users to insert the issued SIM and register through the DITO App.Do not assume existing-Postpaid confirmation replaces a new-line registration.
DITO eSIMScan or upload the QR code through the supported phone settings, follow the device prompts, register the eSIM through the DITO App, then restart as DITO instructs.Installing the profile alone does not complete SIM registration. Keep a secure copy of the QR code.
DITO Home WoWFiPower up the modem, connect the phone using the network name and password on the device, update/open the DITO App and tap Register your DITO SIM Card.Use the exact product guide; older Home devices and current WoWFi models can expose messages and credentials differently.
DITO ONE Starter KitRegister and activate the Primary SIM. DITO’s help center says the included Member SIMs do not each require a separate registration step. This product-specific rule does not apply to unrelated DITO SIMs.
Business / corporate accountProvide the SEC or DTI Certificate of Registration and a board resolution naming the authorized representative or a Special Power of Attorney, plus the identity information DITO requests.Use DITO’s assisted business process for the current document checklist.

How to check whether a DITO SIM is registered

  1. Look for and retain DITO’s successful-registration confirmation message or screen.
  2. Check whether the new SIM activates after the successful result. Registration and ordinary network/device service are separate, so activation alone is not a universal status checker.
  3. Open the DITO App and follow any registration or verification state shown for that number. DITO’s Home product instructions explicitly refer to checking whether the SIM is verified.
  4. If the result is missing or conflicts with service, contact DITO through in-app/live chat, call 185 from a DITO number, or use the official accounts listed on DITO’s registration page.
No verified SMS or USSD status shortcut: the current DITO sources reviewed do not publish a universal registration-status keyword or dial code. Do not use a code copied from another carrier or an old third-party guide.

For the network-by-network methods, see how to check SIM registration status.

Minors, tourists, other foreign nationals and businesses

Minor

A DITO SIM used by a minor is registered under the parent or legal guardian. DITO lists the parent or guardian’s government-issued ID and consent to register the SIM.

Foreign tourist or DITO Traveler SIM user

DITO lists a passport, proof of Philippine address and a return ticket showing the departure date and time. Its Traveler SIM page says the product is active for 30 days and provides an extension request through DITO’s registration/app route for an eligible user who will stay longer.

Foreign national with a non-tourist visa

DITO lists a passport and Philippine address proof plus the applicable Alien Employment Permit, ACR I-Card or another visa-agency ID, school registration/ID, or Department of Justice travel or admission document for a Person of Concern.

Business or corporate entity

DITO lists an SEC or DTI Certificate of Registration and a board resolution designating the authorized representative or a Special Power of Attorney.

Several DITO SIMs

DITO says multiple SIMs may be registered under one name. Register each ordinary SIM accurately. The DITO ONE Primary-SIM instruction is limited to that bundled product.

See minor registration, foreign-national registration and business registration.

After DITO registration

  • Keep the confirmation and protect the DITO account password, OTP and eSIM QR code.
  • Check the SIM and device. Successful registration does not guarantee that an incompatible phone supports DITO calls, texts and VoLTE.
  • Maintain ordinary prepaid validity. DITO’s published subscription terms currently say service is temporarily disconnected when load falls below PHP 1 unless an applicable promo allows service, and a temporary disconnection lasting 90 days or more becomes permanent.
  • Do not assume registration can recover an ordinarily expired number. DITO’s terms say a permanently disconnected subscription and blocked number are not reconnected or reissued.
  • Report loss, theft or damage immediately. DITO’s public materials are not fully consistent about physical-card replacement versus transferring a registered number to another DITO SIM. Ask DITO to verify the supported current process; do not promise an automatic same-number replacement, price or timing.
  • Request changes or voluntary deactivation through DITO. Its registration page confirms that voluntary deactivation is possible, while case-specific identity checks belong to official support.
  • Use a formal process before changing ownership. No current DITO source reviewed establishes instant self-service ownership transfer.
  • Handle porting separately. DITO supports Mobile Number Portability through its store/app process; follow the receiving-line registration instruction DITO provides for the exact Prepaid, Postpaid or eSIM case.
Registration deactivation is not ordinary prepaid expiry: the historical July 2023 mass-registration deadline on DITO’s FAQ is not a deadline for a newly purchased SIM in 2026. New SIMs register before activation; ordinary load and subscription terms still apply after registration.
