Confirm your SIM is registered before it gets deactivated. Prefer your carrier’s app or portal — SMS short codes conflict across help pages.

To check SIM registration status in the Philippines, use your carrier’s official app or registration portal first. Globe and TM subscribers can also text REGSTATUS to 8080; Smart users may text REG STATUS to 214 — but help pages disagree on exact SMS codes, so treat SMS as a backup.   2. Portal — simreg.globe.com.ph — sign in with your number
  3. SMS — text REGSTATUS to 8080 from your Globe or TM number
  4. USSD — dial *143# and look for SIM Registration / status menu items

  1. Smart / GigaLife app — check SIM Registration in account settings
  2. Portal — simreg.smart.com.ph
  3. SMS — REG STATUS to 214 is commonly documented; some plans show different short codes
  4. USSD — *888# menu paths vary by account type

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my SIM is registered?

Successful status check in the carrier app or portal shows registered. You can usually call, text, and use mobile data without registration warning messages.

REGSTATUS says not registered but I registered last year?

SMS replies can lag or error. Log into the official portal with your number. If still unregistered, complete registration again or visit a store with your ID.

Can I check someone else’s SIM status?

No. Status checks require OTP or login tied to that number for privacy reasons under RA 11934.

My SIM was deactivated — is it too late?

Often you can still register on the portal if the SIM accepts OTP. See deactivated SIM guide.

Does GOMO use Globe status methods?

GOMO is app-first via GOMO PH. Globe SMS codes may not apply — check inside the GOMO app.
